Advanced Point-of-Care Ultrasound Elective
Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has become an indispensable skill in the evaluation and treatment of patients across the broad spectrum of medicine. Its utilization allows for timely diagnoses, as well as safe and effective treatment. Numerous medical schools across the country have begun to integrate ultrasound training into their curriculum. This elective will expand upon the fundamentals of ultrasound coved in the medical school curriculum. The format will include a brief initial lecture followed by hands-on ultrasound training in the simulation lab.
